So one of my big complaints so far about the GD-77 is the terrible programming interface. I found this tonight, I haven't had a chance to try it out... but it purports to be a "Community Edition" CPS for programming the GD-77.
I have downloaded and attached it here.

Re: DMR Radio Programming
So, we had an interesting outing tonight, and we kinda got things working, but kinda not. PBF's Btech 6x2 was able to receive the transmissions from my GD-77, however my GD-77 was unable to receive transmissions from his radio. We are still somewhat working out the issue on this. That said, I was ab...

DMR Radio Programming
So, after buying the GD-77 that was talked about in another thread, I immediately became confused as to just what byzantine lunatics created both the software, and the logical order of how all this crap is supposed to be set up. I am still muddling through a number of topics, I do have the radio up ...

Re: DMR Radios
Major downsides to used motorla gear: Sure, the radio is cheap, next I need a battery, a spare battery, a charger, a programming cable, a set of software licenses. At the moment, I'm going to wait for P25 radios and all the associated stuff to come down in price, namely, with more competent gear com...

DMR Radios
Patrick got me interested, now I'm reading up... http://trbo.org/docs/Amateur_Radio_Guide_to_DMR.pdf Ok, so after reading the attached doc, and going through a bunch of other bits trying to figure it all out. I'm probably re-stating the obvious for some but maybe helping others like myself who had n...

Aldi Adventuridge Hammock
So I was over doing some grocery shopping tonight. And I found a "Aldi Adventuridge Hammock" for $15. Nylon hammocks have gotten expensive, and given that this was in Aldi's "limited time" (seasonal) section, I was kinda willing to take the gamble on something that's half the price of even the ones ...

Gold Park/Old Dale Mining District (April '18)
Trying to organize some of the files and video from the trip. I didn't take too many photos, but I took quite a bit of video. I've edited and uploaded a few things to youtube and to gun streamer. I'm going to post things first on gunstreamer, and then maybe later on youtube. The trip, sans the shopp...

Re: '90 Jeep XJ Fuel Injection Problems
I realize the number of Jeeps in the group is a lot thinner than it once was. I ordered new fuel injectors, and I thought I would throw out the link: http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com/catalog/item/4511825/10025237.htm According to Rob, this is a drop-in replacement and will fit the fuel rail cli...

Re: Some light reading
I have archived these PDFs and will soon put them up in a protected Docs section (mostly to keep people from wgetting the whole thing) I could also upload them to the wiki.
Out of curiosity, is there interest in doing SSO on the wiki?

Re: Team Rubicon Watches
I've been rocking the Seiko SNK805 (automatic, Day/Date) since christmas. I fucking love this watch. The previous watch I used was one of the Timex Explorer field watches. It was a good intro watch, however in the two years I wore it on my wrist, it was really showing a lot of damage to the crystal ...
