Re: DMRPC Cleanup May 5
The clock is open now, I just got my renewal reminder, however their payment website is having some issues. You do still need to attend the orientation. There is a range orientation this Sunday: http://www.desertmarksmen.org/calendar?mc_id=3411 Technically there is an Orientation on May 5, but since...

DMRPC Cleanup May 5
DMRPC has announced their spring work party. If you've never been you should go, you don't have to be a member, and there's always tons of work to be done at every skill level, whether it's driving a rake or running a chainsaw. Come out, get some sun, do some hard work, meet other members and get fe...

Re: Jeep Suspension Problems
The rear suspension was changed out for the new springs, I think compared to where the original springs were, this has turned out to be roughly a 3-4" lift. Holy balls, it's like driving a new car, there's a little bit of extra rattle in the rear, I think it could just be a matter of having actually...

Re: Jeep Suspension Problems
So, the next big step is replacing the Rear Leaf Springs. I picked up a set of Dorman 929-301, which was supposed to be an up-country leaf, it looks like it may be the standard replacement so I'm going to leave the lift shackles on so I'll maintain at least a little bit of boost on the rear-end. Any...

Baofeng is getting closer to making the perfect radio
So I said a while ago, that the perfect radio has roughly 4 desirable features: 1) It must be waterproof 2) Dual Band (with wide-receive) 3) It must have a large battery and a quick way to charge it 4) It must have a usable form factor (longer rather than wider or thicker) Baofeng is has apparently ...

Re: Jeep Suspension Problems
So after a lot of dicking with things, I was able to get the upper control arms replaced. And I will assert after some initial lack of confidence that the Moog parts in the previous post were indeed the correct parts. That said, here's some after action: 1) Certain things that were expected went exp...
